O what a happy thing it is,
and joyful for to see
Brethren to dwell together in
friendship and unity!
Tis like the precious ointment that
was poured on Aaron's head,
Which from his beard down to the skirts
of his rich garments spread.
And as the lower ground doth drink
the dew of Hermon hill,
And Zion with his silver drops
the fields with fruit doth fill;
E'en so the Lord doth pour on them
his blessings manifold,
Whose hearts and minds sincerely do
this knot fast keep and hold.
