Almighty Maker God
How wondrous is thy name!
Thy glories how diffused abroad
Through the creation’s frame.
Nature in every dress
Her humble homage pays;
And finds a thousand ways to express
Her great Creator’s praise.
And we with gladness bring
Our humble offering too;
For to our maker and our King
All love and praise are due.
May we in duty spend
The remnant of our days;
Daily our prayers to thee ascend
And all our hours be praise.
---Alternative verses---
Nature in every dress
Her humble homage pays;
And finds a thousand ways to express
Her undissembled praise.
My soul would rise and sing
Her great Creator too:
I would adore th' eternal King,
And pay the homage due.
Let joy and Worship spend
The remnant of my days,
And to my God my soul ascend
In sweet perfumes of praise.
