Hark! ten thousand angels crying
“Worthy is the Lamb of God;”
Thousand thousand saints replying
Fill with praise their high abode.
Every knee to Jesus bending,
Seated on his Father’s throne;
Countless voices, sweetly blending,
Him the Lord and Saviour own.
Crowned with joys which banish sadness,
These who out of trials came,
Sing with everlasting gladness,
Praise to God and to the Lamb.
They have won the great salvation,
Heaven no sin nor sorrow knows;
Filled with bliss, the ransomed nation
Rests in undisturbed repose.
We shall join their happy chorus;
We shall soon be blessed as they;
Heaven and glory are before us,
Only let us watch and pray.
