Let us adore the God of grace
With the angelic throng,
The angels no such love hath known
As we, to wake their song.
Goodwill to sinful men is shown,
And peace on earth is given;
For lo, the incarnate Saviour comes,
With messages from heaven.
Justice and grace, with sweet accord,
His lowly state adorn;
let heaven and earth in concert join,
The promised child is born.
Glory to God in highest strains,
By highest worlds is paid;
Then what admiring gratitude
Should be by us displayed;
Till we shall reach those blissful realms,
Where Christ exalted reigns;
And learn of the celestial choir,
Their own enraptured strains.
