Meeting in the Saviour’s name,
With these sacred symbols fed,
To the world we thus proclaim,
Jesus is the living bread.
From his cross our hope we draw,
‘Tis in guilt our one resource;
There he magnified the law,
There for us he bore the curse.
Jesus died, and then arose,
Lord of heaven, and earth he reigns;
Woe awaits his stubborn foes;
Glory for his friends remains.
Let us love him for he died,
Triumph, for he rose again;
Through him we are justified,
With him we shall shortly reign.
