Not forms nor creeds which we profess
Mark us the subjects of our Lord;
But peace, and joy, and righteousness,
Faith and obedience to his word.
When weaker Christians we despise
We do the holy Saviour wrong;
For he, the gracious Lord and wise,
Receives the feeble with the strong.
Let pride be banished from each mind,
Let us all love and truth pursue;
To all our weaker brethren kind,
In every doctrine firm and true.
