Sons of the Eternal God
Travelling to our heavenly home,
Let us sing along our road
To the bliss beyond the tomb.
Let us leave the things behind
Hastening on our homeward way;
let us seek and we shall find
Help in every trying day.
Let us lay each weight aside,
Which retards us in our race;
While in Jesus we confide
To sustain us by his grace;
He will keep us by that grace
Till we win the blissful prize;
Till we see him face to face,
Raise to joy that never dies.
Fear not tried and trembling soul
Only in his love believe;
We shall shortly reach the goal
And the crown of life receive.
Like the saints already gone
To the land of glorious rest,
Let us trust and travel on,
And like them we shall be blest.
