The king of heaven hath made a feast,
In honour of our Lord;
Not paradise, though bright and blest,
Could such delight afford.
Pardon and peace to dying men,
And endless life are given,
Through the rich blood that Jesus shed
To raise our souls to heaven.
Millions have come to share the joy,
And millions more may come;
Not could the whole assembled world
O’erfill the spacious room.
Come sinner to the feast to-day,
Choose not despair and shame;
Ask for admission while you may,
Ask in the Saviour’s name.
