Though sinners take the road
That leads to endless death,
We, in the worship of our God,
Will spend our daily breath.
Our thoughts address his throne,
When morning brings the light:
We seek ins blessing every noon,
And pay our vow at night.
Thou wilt regard our cries
O thou Almighty God;
While sinners, who thy grace despise,
Must feel thy angry rod.
Because through every hour
Thy bounties bless them still,
They will not fear thy awful power,
Nor do thy holy will.
But we where’er we ne
Will rest upon thy word,
And cast our burdens upon thee,
The everlasting Lord.
Thy arm shall well sustain
The children of thy love;
No rebel can disturb thy reign,
No power our peace remove.
