‘Tis right that we should cease to mourn,
And Christ the Saviour bless;
For he our punishment has borne,
And is our righteousness.
For us he lived, and died, and rose,
For us he did atone;
And God imputes not sin to those
Who trust in him alone.
Oh, let us to his service yield
The lives which he has bought;
Obey the law which he fulfilled,
And love him as we ought.
May faithful zeal in all our ways
Our gratitude express;
And a devoted conduct praise
The Lord our righteousness.
