And helps us when we meekly trust,
And trusting do his will.
This God is ours while life shall last,
And then, when life is o’er,
Our God till sin and death are past,
Our God for evermore.
And he will be our constant guide,
Each needful good supply;

And keep us till we die.
Then let us seek him day by day,
Pursue our heavenly race;
His will with grateful joy obey,
And triumph in his grace.
