To-morrow, sinner, do you say,
That you intend to serve the Lord?
‘Tis bad, ‘tis dangerous to delay
Accepting Jesus and his word,
To-morrow? what can it afford
Beyond the help you have to-day?
This is the time to serve the Lord;
Accept the gospel while you may.
To-morrow? why not then to-day?
For if this hour to sin incline,
You turn from God and grace away,
To-morrow brings a hardened mind.
To-morrow? that may only come
To take your latest parting breath,
To seal your everlasting doom,
And see you still and cold in death.
Oh no: to-day, this very day,
Seek to begin your heavenly road;
Awake, awake to mourn and pray,
To trust in Christ and turn to God.
