We bless thee Lord, for thou art slow
To lay obdurate sinners low;
And swift to pardon, when they own
The things they have perversely done.
Yet thou art infinitely great,
Archangels on thy bidding wait;
And thou has made yon boundless sky
The temple of thy majesty.
All creatures have from thee their food,
Thous dost supply the world with good,
And those who seek thee, ever find
That thou art faithful, just and kind.
We bless thee, Lord, we humbly pray
For hearts to bless thee every day;
And when we lie within the tomb,
May others bless thee in our room.
