We’re entering on another year,
Another year is past;
We cannot long continue here,
And this may be our last.
Much of our fleeting life is gone,
Nor will return again;
And swift our passing moments run,
The few that yet remain.
Now a new stage of life begins,
Some moments more are given;
Let us seek pardon of our sins,
And urge our way to heaven.
Let us with zeal pursue our road,
And keep in view our end;
Yield ourselves heartily to God,
And on his grace depend.
