These are saved who once were lost,
Joy pervades the heavenly host;
These his sheep hath Jesus found,
Let our praise and joy abound.
He hath rescued Satan’s prey,
Wandering in an evil way;
Freed from sorrow, sin, and pain,
They with him shall ever reign.
Brethren, praise the Lord with us,
Who in mercy saves you thus;
He alone could seek and save,
Praise him till you reach the grave.
Ye too who have left your God
For a dark and downward road,
Jesus waits your souls to bless,
Come and share our happiness.
Hark, he calls to you from heaven,
Come and you shall be forgiven;
Come to him, without delay,
Guilty wanderers, come to-day.
