Ye who have felt your need of grace,
And mourned your guilt and sin,
Seek in the church of Christ a place,
And a new life began.
That you may be from sin released
And Satan’s chain be broke,
Trust in your Prophet, king and Priest,
And take his easy yoke.
Jesus, the Lord, his precious blood
For you on Calvary spilt;
Come then to that atoning flood
And wash away your guilt.
‘Tis through the grace of God that we
Must holiness secure;
Bathe in that renovating sea,
And that shall make you pure.
And though Christ’s servants for his sake,
Must look to be despised,
Yet come, your cross with meekness take,
Believe and be baptized.
O thou, who bidst our sorrows cease,
Our Father make them come,
To find in Christ their life and peace
To win a heavenly home.
