Let us proclaim abroad
The wonders God has done,
In the aboundings of his grace,
By his coequal Son.
In pardon, he displays
His justice and his love;
Mercy and truth their power unite
To make the curse remove.
The law for vengeance calls,
Nor does it call in vain;
The vengeance due to man’s offence,
Our surety did sustain.
We all our comforts owe,
To Christ’s atoning blood;
By it he sealed the promises,
And God will make them good.
