Sing, ye saints, the love of God,
Let his grace attune your tongues;
Spread his praises all abroad,
In harmonious grateful songs.
Ere were formed the earth and seas,
He in wisdom did ordain,
Jesus should the wrath appease,
Jesus should our peace obtain.
Pardon now is freely given,
Through his rich atoning blood;
Sinners now are heirs of heaven,
Fully reconciled to God.
Now no separation dread,
Lo, the veil is rent in twain;
Ye are one in Christ your head,
And for ever shall remain.
Thousand thanks to him are due,
Highest praise to him be given,
By the churches here below,
And the fuller choirs of heaven.
