Ye burdened saints, with flowing tears,
Go spread your sins before the Lord;
Suppress your unbelieving fears,
Hope in his grace and trust his word.
When we to him our woes impart,
And tell him all our griefs and cares,
He with a sympathizing heart,
Hears our complaints, our burden bears.
We oft with overspreading shame
And deep remorse, have guilt confessed,
As oft does he his grace proclaim,
And with his presence make us blessed.
Since he our secret groans has heard,
Our peace and joy again restored;
Oh may his sacred name be feared,
His faithfulness and love adored.
