None teacheth, Lord, like Thee,
None can such truth impart,
Such treasures from Thy word unfold,
Nor so impress the heart.
How blest Thy servants were,
When, with them on their way,
Thou didst commune, and sweetly chase
Their sorrows all away.
So now to us draw near,
And speak to every heart ;
Our light in darkness, joy in grief,
And "All in All," Thou art.
Open to us Thy word,
Thy precious thoughts reveal,
Thy purposes and ways explain,
And teach us all Thy will.
So shall our doubt and fear,
And care and grief subside,
And each enraptured heart exclaim,
Lord, with us abide !
