A SERVANT HEART

Please grant me, Lord, a servant heart
That I may take your love with me
As I go out into your world
To take my place where all may see.

Make me aware throughout each day
Of those around who need my aid;
Friend, neighbour, stranger, family too,
For whom your sacrifice was made.

Use me, my God, to do your work;
Let my hands daily serve as yours,
‘Till those I serve see only you,
The one from whom all goodness pours.

Should you call me to change my way,
In diff’rent tasks to play a part.
When ever doubt and fears hold sway.
Please grant me, Lord, a servant heart.
