Lord, make me humble, keep me meek
As I try now your will to seek;
“Please lead my thoughts along your way,”
This from my heart I simply pray.
So often, Lord, I come to you
With plans and dreams of something new;
That grasp my hope, my heart, my mind,
Yet to your will I’m often blind.
Help me, my Lord, along the way
To take the time to stop and pray,
That what I’m trying to achieve
May help my brother to believe.
Teach me to make your will my own
Obeying You upon your throne
That I, to sister, brother, friend
May give my aid through journey’s end.
