We thank You for this day
Where peace and joy are found
Your Sabbath rest we pray
Should all your people find.
We thank you for the place
Where'er you people meet.
We sense that Holy Grace
When round Your mercy seat.
We want to worship give
For all You truly are.
In sanctity to live
By Your own Guiding Star
Your precepts are so clear
And on Your truths we stand.
No giants will we fear,
But face the promised land.
Tis He, the First and Last
Redeemer of our souls
Who, from the stormy blast
Called us to be made whole.
Glad tidings thus we sing
As of Your Word we read.
A promise from our King
To enter His abode.
So, on our pilgrim way
Tis but the Christ we'll love
Until Eternal Day
Descends from heav'n above.
