Lord, on Your Church a vision
Of whitening fields You've laid.
Now we are called to mission
That we Your Love display.
And with divine permission
Shall strive in this Your day
To shout that free salvation
For needy souls we pray.
Wherever you may send us
To lands both near and far,
We need that saintly focus
Of Christ our Guiding Star.
We ask no earthly wisdom
But what you will inspire.
For 'tis Your heavenly kingdom
That You their souls desire.
For each of us desiring
To know Your will is done,
Though Satan's hosts conspiring
'Gainst God the Father's Son.
We would be wise as serpents
Yet harmless as the dove,
As we would seek out servants
To gather in Your Love.
So, call your wandering children
Wherever they be found.
That those in sin who're wandering
May find your hallowed ground,
And grow in Godly humour
Believing in Your Word
Acknowledging their Saviour
With every Grace confirmed.
