We thank You for this time,
Oh Lord Divine,
When we can worship You,
Your grace review.
Thank You for Your Blest Word,
That we your children heard,
That we may grow thereby
Satan to defy.
Of Christ we love to hear,
Our Saviour dear,
How He came down from heav'n
For man, to save
Those lost in Sin's domain
Suff'ring the guilt and pain
From wand'ring far and wide
Without a guide.
But we rejoice to hear
In Godly fear
Of those who came to You
Evermore renewed.
Help us to ask aright
In penitence and sight
Of Your blest loving smile
While here awhile.
For we must go from here
Bringing Godly fear
To those in lost estate,
Lest it be too late.
Give us the words to say
Lead us to them, we pray.
So send us on our way
Christ to display.
