What benefits You do impart
To those Your love doth send
On missions close to every heart
That men may comprehend!
The God-give'n tasks that occupy
The hearts and souls of men
To praise His Name and glorify
Leading each soul to heav'n.
We see that in your wise design
There's beauty none can scorn
For every token is benign
And leads to man reborn.
But more than this, eternity
Becomes their sight in view
For every saint to glorify
And holiness pursue.
We cannot start to understand
The plans that God has made
From start unto the very end
His rule is well displayed.
Nothing is better, we confess,
Than to rejoice in Him;
To do the works of righteousness
And live lives freed from Sin.
Whatever He has thus decreed
Shall then forever be.
From wayward lives we shall be freed
And for eternity.
