My Wonderful Saviour and Guardian Divine,
My Lover and Comfort Sublime,
Inspirer, Sustainer and Resolute Guide,
Who else should I hold by my side?
'Tis You Who first called me in tenderest voice
When I in my sin had no choice.
You lifted me out of my sorrow and shame
And called me, my heart to reclaim.
My Gracious Redeemer of whom I must sing,
My Prophet, Priest and King!
You taught me to love You from out of Your Word
New songs that I never had heard.
Repentance and sorrow for sin were to me
A cleansing which set my heart free.
I came to the foot of your wonderful cross
And counted my gold as mere dross.
And so I am singing that song without end
That angels and men with me blend.
Surrounded by witnesses of His new birth
We'll praise Him for all of our worth.
Our songs without ending shall praise Your Great Name
When heaven reflects on Your Fame;
For throughout eternity Your sons shall bring
Our honours to Jesus our King.
