Lord, humble me that I might see
Nothing but Christ’s pure love for me.
Let young and old, in purity,
Show to each one humility.
Those who are given place to lead
Help them for all to intercede
Protect from arrogance and greed
But shepherd flocks that we may feed.
Those who are young, Your voice have heard
Submitting to Your every word,
Clothe them in true simplicity
Admitting Your clear sovereignty.
Humble we are in Your strong hand
Oh lift us up that we might stand
Before Your throne on that glad day
And all our homage we shall pay.
’Til then we have no anxious fear
For on our God we cast each tear.
He cares, is all we need to know,
For Christ has conquered that last foe.
So then, as lifted up we be,
Help us to watch and pray and see
The prowling lions of each hour
Lest they find someone to devour.
We will stand firm in saving faith
We claim that plenitude of Grace
That we may for each other pray
Until that great and glorious day.
