I'M GOING HOME

Farewell, vain world, I’m going home,
My Saviour smiles and bids me come,
Bright angels beckon me away,
To sing God’s praise in endless day.

And when to that bright world I fly,
To join the anthems in the sky,
Oh. then my happy soul shall tell,
My Jesus has done all things well.

I hope to meet my brethren there,
Who once did join with me in pray’r!
Our mourning time shall then o’er,
And we shall live to die no more.

Help us, dear Lord, that we enjoy
The union of thy holy peace:
Which nothing ever may destroy,
Nor cause its blessings to decrease.
