O sinner, come home, the banquet is waiting,
Return to thy Father, sin’s folly forsaking;
That Father still loves thee, and waits to embrace
His penitent child, when returning through grace.
Then, sinner, come home; the feast is all ready;
Prepared for the blind, the poor and the needy;
The worst are invited, all welcome will be;
Return, then, there’s room at this table for thee.
Thy sins have been great, thy wanderings far;
But greater His mercy; then follow yon star,
That leads thee to Him, whom the angels adore;
And be happy at home, thence to wander no more.
Then, sinner, come home; the feast is all ready;
Prepared for the blind, the poor and the needy;
The worst are invited, all welcome will be;
Return, then, there’s room at this table for thee.
He will not upbraid thee with sins of the past;
The Lord will forgive; He is true to the last;
The law of His mercy can not be repealed,
It standeth forever, with blood it is sealed.
Then, sinner, come home; the feast is all ready;
Prepared for the blind, the poor and the needy;
The worst are invited, all welcome will be;
Return, then, there’s room at this table for thee.
