     marker 99| | | | | Ye who have grasped at earthly good,
 Afar from God and grace,
 Now, trusting in the Saviour’s blood,
 Seek in his church a place.

 Here you have seen those once like you,
 By grace converted now,
 Make, as his soldiers, brave and true,
 Their sacramental vow.

 Immersed to-day at his command,
 They to the world declare,
 That they, with all the faithful band,
 His willing soldiers are.

 Those who confess him as their friends,
 Shall be confessed by him;
 And owned as his when he descends
 With all the seraphim.

 Cease to be careless, proud, or vain,
 The Saviour’s service choose,
 For those who serve him, all things gain,
 And nothing e’er shall lose.
