Eternal God, we humbly bow
Before thy sacred throne,
From thee our varied comforts flow,
From thee and thee alone.
We plead the promise in thy word,
That seed-time shall be given;
Now verify thy promise, Lord,
And send us help from heaven.
Let not the husbandman complain
Nor murmur nor repine,
